I have been buying a large group of items that came from a collection and someone made notations as to ranks but nothing about the country of origin. I am guessing from the pins on the left top that these are Japanese? Interesting pins at the bottom with wings and star in center that do not look Japanese. Help needed. Thanks. If they are WWII Japanese pins they would be Navy. Only the Navy used the 5 petal sakura or cherry blossom flower. sakura_badge.webp

The Army used the Chrysanthemum (as seen on secretcanyon's posting at the top of the pic).

I did a little research but could not find any rank insignia to match those in question.

Excellent. I am guessing all of the pins are also South Vietnamese?
