Are these worth anything more than melt value?

The problem with items such as these is that interest dies shortly after the advertising ends. When I encounter art bars, art rounds, and non-US Mint Commemoratives, I offer enough below spot so I can sell at a profit the next day.

Others have differing opinions. None are wrong. Just different than mine.

Time for more coffee.
 

check them out on ebay to see what people are asking for them, it appears they are pretty collectable, to me anyways.
 

These are beautiful coins by the Australian mint. Some of the government issued series are very artistic and collectible. (Look at the detail on Belarus proof coins sometime.)

Medals aren't coins but some of the details and artwork on a lot of older ones make them collectible ($) as well. No one would pay $100 for a silver or bronze round from a private company, no matter how old. But call something a medal and see how fast they appreciate!
