Are these flat buttons? How old?

Never found many buttons before but pulled three of these up from deep today. Look old to me. Anyone know a date range or what they were for? Don't see any makers marks or design but it's hard to tell. Yes, they look colonial as well, I can't see any back mark and the shank is slightly off-center.

Colonial would be amazing! I live in An older area of PA but never found anything from the colonial period before. [emoji2]

Theyre definitely old, and from what I understand it was in the very late 1700s when they first started putting backmarks on buttons. Nice finds, by the way.

That's amazing! My town was first settled in 1771 so these could be some of the oldest artifacts ever found here!

From what I've personally experienced anywhere from 1760-1780.

Hers is the backside of the white/silver looking one. Unfortunately the one shown is the only one with the shank in tact. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499587872.894587.jpg
