20150725_220203.jpg20150725_220118.jpg20150725_220149.jpg Are these baculites or something else? There are at least three maybe four in the bunch and they are fairly small. I found them with marine fossils, cretaceous time frame in Montana where an old inland sea was. They seem to be segmented and the longest is about 4" long.

Don't get rid of it. Look at it with and open mind. The reason why I say is,it was put where you found it. Look for some numbers on it. They are very discreet. There's more to your find than you realize.

It was at a place called Dead Mans' Reservoir by Harlowtown, MT. There is a shell on the back and I found other shells nearby. Here are some things I found nearby and another of it.20150725_220105.jpg20150725_220416.jpg20150725_220315.jpg20150725_220340.jpg I find no numbers. The turtle looking find is a concretion I think but a turtle mimic.

There's numbers and more. That's ok unless you been studying the works of the Jesuits. The beauty of their work is it's hidden in plain sight. Here are a few examples.

It's all how you look at it. If you look at the bottom pic. You will see a bear face. Turn it a little and might see more. The masters illusionist they where. Here are some more for you. I hope you will see them in a new way.

It looks that way to me. Now with that being said. I would have to see it better to say for sure.

Yuup! Baculites they are. If you travel to the area east of you, you can find ammonites. Love the fishing at Dead Man's except when it is windy.

I was kind of getting into the Jesuit hand thing but Baculites works.

Both are true. The Jesuits work is amazing when think how it's done. The problem comes from not enough people talk about it. Either they don't know about it.Their work come in all shapes and sizes and materials.
