Hi,
I am in New Jersey and I found a few things that I believe may be old native american artifacts/tools. Please let me know your opinions and anything else you can share! Thanks!

Number 1: Some kind of grinding stone tool? or river rock

Number 2: Has flaking marks, may be a tool?

Number 4: Strange shape, found deep in the dirt. Possible thumb mark?

I’m thinking no to all. No 6 had some flaking, but I think it’s coal. It will flake like that. Only other stone that I know of that looks like that is obsidian. Would be kind of rare in NJ. Your on the right track.

I mostly agree, other than I don't think its coal.
 

You have a good eye and smart to ask and learn keep lookin Im sure you will find some cool stuff
 

I would say no to all except the last item looks to be a flint thumb scraper that’s been in the water a long time getting tumbled and worn smooth I have a few similar ones
 

Sorry, none are artifacts. Suggest you buy a book on artifacts to know what to look for.
 

IMHO: I believe sadly these are not, but keep looking they are out there. Good Luck! :icon_thumleft:
