Yesterday we had a high of 66 and today it's down to 22. This arctic blast moved in last night, so I took a little hike along the creek today to get some of that beginning to feel like Christmas feeling"..... I kind of like the snowy days sometimes, as it can be rather peaceful. These are some of what I saw along the way. The Owl I saw, looked more of like Bah Humbug! to this cold day or maybe he was just unhappy with me because I disturbed it's sleep?

Very nice pics.

Nice pics. Nothing so photogenic 'round these parts, but that same cold front just pushed past me.

Very nice pictures of the Start of Winter! It is a special day when we can be outside and find the critters that are out and about! Owl's just look like that, I'm surprised the baby owl's do not run away from home as soon as they are hatched. Thank you for sharing.................63bkpkr

Ha ! He does look a bit grouchy

Yup, Grant, winter for sure. 6.1 here last night. Supposed to be 1.0 Christmas morning. Low for the winter, so far. is 4.1 one morning last week.

Very good photos. We’re supposed to have that cold front by the weekend. I got a new detector for Christmas and took it out yesterday. Got in trouble with Santa for that. :laughing7:

I think your about in the middle of the cold front. I guess we're at the very southern edge of it. Clouds started breaking around 3:PM, but the freezing cold air will be with us through Christmas day. No more snow in the forecast means no white Christmas.
