Hi gang. And happy Sunday. I have no idea what these 2 pieces are? They are old and I was thinking they may be from the Art Deco period? But that’s a guess. They are metal with a copper type finish. They are almost a Greek look like a goat man face. Back has prongs like where they would have been on a building or something. No maker marks. They are a little over 6 inches. Any help is appreciated. DBE14C78-4B82-4DF2-B45E-6B3B0B84119A.jpeg

Hi Chad,

If you could show us a full size picture of the back and a shot from the side this would be helpful to help identify/date your plaques. :icon_scratch:

Here are some better pics. Hope they help

Thanks for the pics Chad, these are much better.

I think these were designed to be attached to or set into a decorative concrete or stone facing. They're almost too crude and too large to be attached to furniture or a cabinet.
We need to think back to the period of history that they were created in and how they were made for a specific purpose for that time... but for what purpose? :icon_scratch:
Date wise, I think your correct in assuming these were made in the first quarter of the 20thc.

As architectural salvage, they're beautifully made pieces that deserve to be displayed.
