They found this 4,000 year old site in France and now are building a research center on the location.

That is a huge problem in historic cities. Do you preserve the items that are 500 years old or dig down to the 1000 year old civiliation or the 2000 or older civilization. The Middle East has alot of these problems plus religious issues to deal with.
