Arabic? Silver Coin

Found this coin today with what believe is Arabic writing. Found at an old town site that hasn't had occupants since the 1940's so I don't believe it's been brought back by a solider from the past 2 Iraq wars. But who knows. I'm not even sure if the pics are right side up. I appreciate any help or feed back. It's slightly smaller than US quarters.

I think that may be it. Ottoman Empire went defunct about 1922 then became turkey I believe. It looks like it. Thanks
