that jacket is killer!

never take first offer!!

No, the first offer is fine, as long as you have it listed for much more than you think someone would pay. I start many items very high, especially if it's something unique or uncommon, and don't care if I sell the first week. One of the biggest mistakes people seem to make is being so anxious to sell, and would rather make $20 this week than spending a little more to list and getting $30 the next or the one after. Having MANY items on the go it's a little harder to try and squeeze them all that way, but just a few it's pretty simple to be greedy. When you price something you think what's the most some crazy person would pay.

I think you did well.

I think you did well.

Agreed! I would be smitten with that roi. You 16X'd your money, even including the fees.

Living and learning. I really like playing the game whereas very little capital is involved.
Hope everyone scores this week and thank you kindly for the words of wisdom. They are heard.

You did good!
Also, being a buyer and a seller on eBay, I make offers to people lower than what I am willing to pay "just in case" and I usually get a counter offer that is acceptable and often under what I would've paid. I have also countered back on offers made to me. It never hurts to make a counter offer, it's worth a try anyway in the future. Another thing I have learned is to not be hasty if the offer comes soon after item is listed as it may be worth more than you had thought. Give it time and make sure it has been "viewed" by several before accepting an offer. Good luck!!

If someone makes a really low best offer on a item I have on, I just decline with no counter offer. Many times they will make another best offer over what I would have countered with to begin with. I have also had buyers make a best offer, I decline and they pay the BIN price because I guess they feel someone else may get it.
