My family and I do a lot of exploring around where we live. The area has significant evidence of First Nations occupation. There are many sites near where we live that have cache pits, culturally modified trees, etc. These items were found within the city. I am not sure if they are anything related to First Nations or just a pile of rocks! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks! IMG_3190.jpg

Looks like good stuff to me. But I am no expert on such things. Post them in the Pre-colonial forum further down the page. Those guys will tell you what you've got.

The large stone interests me. Feel the ends. Do they feel VERY smooth? if they feel smoother than the rest it may be a grinding stone-type thing they have them in my area from corn-grinding stones.

The smaller ones with the holes in them could have been attached to early fishing nets (used as weights).
