I'm doing the boxes I picked up today, only one silver dime so far, but as I am doing my halves I have run across numerous bicentennials. I know some people pay a premium for them but has anyone ever tried to bulk sell them or do you just throw them back?
I found some BU bicentennial half dollar rolls, couldnt sell them at all on ebay. circulated ones are so common, I would doubt you could sell them over face to any real collector, if even at all.
I dumped $100 worth on some fool at a bank once. I was minding my own business dumping at a coin counter and he asks if he could buy some. I says, sure how many do you want? He says he'll take $100 worth. We start counting them, and before its all said and done, he says "there's alot of bicentennials here", I look him straight in the face, and say they are collectable.
Note, these all came from probably $500 worth of CWR rolls I picked up, all of them were bicentennials.
