Anyone think i can get more than $2 per 40%.

I happened to run into someone selling a nice amount of 40%'s for $2 a pop, which is about 90% of close value for the silver content. Anyone think i would be able to turn em for a quick profit.....i like to keep em, but every spare penny is going into getting a house!! So id have to turn em for a nice quick profit. 175ish halves waiting pickup

I'm debating the offer as we speak.....i would probably be throwing them on here, or bringing em to a shop in town to see what they would pay. I have had some good experiences here, but time is a factor.

I couldn't get that at the local shops around here. I have 750 40% that I tried to sell.

You might be hard pressed to get more than $2 today. Or you might find a crazy buyer at $3 ea. Got to shop around! ffd

On Ebay when Silver was 17.50 to 18.50 after fees my net was 2.15 to 2.42 .

I listed some on craigslist last week and sold them for $47.50 a roll or $2.375 per 40% half
guy drove to my house paid cash, no ebay fees whatsoever

I wouldn't sell mine for any less than $2.00 a piece. I'm waiting till silver goes back up a ways to sell anyway. If you post on craigslist or something like that you can make decent money, no fees. There are a lot of people in my area posting about buying silver, it's worth a shot to post. If no one wants to buy for what you want to sell, just hold on to it. Eventually silver will peak again. I imagine silver will go up a lot someday soon.

The last roll I that I saw on eBay (a few days ago) sold for $51 and buyer paid shipping. I'm not up-to-date on the selling fees though. Just an FYI. Good luck!

I might put a few rolls of 40% halves on Craigslist this weekend at 50 bucks a piece to see what happens, if I have time. I do not have any 1970 halves, I know that would boost the price if you had any of them involved.

I really hate using Ebay. It's become so seller and business unfriendly. Ebay forces you to get a Paypal business account. Then that forces an extra charge on you besides all the regular fees. I just hate it.. Ebay nickels and dimes you to death for corporate greed. They also make it hard for people to write checks for payment. If you prefer checks, Ebay won't allow you to say that or they get rid of your auction.
I also knew a guy that used to buy halves from me using Paypal for non-Ebay transactions. Paypal had the nerve to charge me for taking his money using Paypal. You can even sell stuff to anyone without getting charged. Everyone out in California.. please DO NOT VOTE for Meg Whitman. She's EVIL.
Look at how she runs Ebay.

Anyhow.. wait for silver to go back up. It will in the long run especially with all the debt our country has.
