Seems hand painted the trunk is able to come off I think the legs to........it's about 10 inches high and about a foot long

Kind of. Some smaller, some bigger and some in between.. Looks like it came from India to me. Maybe their version of a Mr.potato head kind of toy

the blanket and cap style indicate balinese.a common pose from bali also.note eye area painting.modern likely,still selling them.
