Had this ring given to me by my grandfather before he passed away it has 2 stamps on it 750 and 18k after wearing it for a while i have noticed it leaves a green mark on my finger it does not float and is not attracted to a magnet what would it be made of and has anyone seen something like this before thanks.

The 750 is a European stamp meaning 75% gold, the same meaning as the 18k.
Red gold would contain 25% copper, but it never hurts to have it tested.

The acids in your skin can be causing the copper content that is mixed in with the ring to discolor your finger.

What you have IMO... is a brass ring.

The look... is not of gold... unless someone took an SOS pad to it.

Sorry for my opinion...

And I am looking at a photo... not the ring itself... but from here.

Fake.

Always test it but it does appear to be brass. and AARC is correct there is not enough of the copper alloy to discolor your finger. Not even 9Kt

the iconography on the ring is very different, it is either a decoration or has a specific meaning. Any Masons want to chime in, that's the only thing I can think of.

Just an FYI pure 24k gold won't tarnish but some gold alloys can, especially if they come in contact with chemicals like chlorine.

Since we have determined it to have fake counterfeit gold markings, I would think the entire ring must also be fake. It was manufactured with the intent to commit fraud.
