I see allot of re size to post here questions. Hers what I do.
1.Right Click Picture You Want To Post
2. Choose "Re size Pictures"
3. Click "Advanced" Box
4. Choose Handheld PC
5. Check Box "Make Pictures Smaller but Not Larger"
6. Check "OK" Box
After you do this you still have the "big" picture and the new "small" picture will be the last one in your pictures. I usually delete the big one because I generally only have it to post on a forum anyways. Then I post a topic, browse and choose the new "small" one. Works evertime. Anyone else use this feature? Hope it helps! Shane :)

also just email it to yourself

I understand how to resize with Irfanview, but how do I crop off the unwanted part of a picture to save TN's disc space?

I was able to "cut" off the unwanted part by using the scissors icon, but it is still there when I post. It is just all black now. Any help?

Did you save it after you used the scissors?
Yes. When I save it, the cutaway part is black in my file.

Cy, don't know if it's the same in Infanview. In Paint, I open with the pic I want to edit-then open Paint again on a new window. Go back to the 1st one, use the cut (either box it or free form cut). Right click and copy. Then on 2nd Paint, right click paste. Then use the corner points to take out any white or black excess. Then "save as"---be sure it's saved as a jpeg, gif, or kml. Preference is jpeg.

I forgot to mention that you left click after the past. There are 4 little dots in each corner as well as 4 on each side. I use the bottom right to do away with any excess space and the bottom middle for any gap at the bottom.

That is what I am trying to do. Crop it.
I havent been using two windows. I will try this.

Be sure when you go to the 2nd window that's open, to click on the same crop method. If you used the square in the 1st, click on the same in the 2nd before pasting.

For you folks wanting to crop.....download picasa2 from google. Its free and you can do alot of things with pics including easy crops.

Ok. I noticed that I have "Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials SE" and it is very easy to use and it has "crop."
Thanks everyone for the help, but this is the best way to go that I found. I just left click my picure in "My Pictures/My Documents" and "Open With" "Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials SE." I then click "edit" and the rest is self-explanatory. ;D Very nice.
