It is a hub cap to a pre 40s automobile, I am not sure but it could be from a Dodge, but they usually had the initials DB.

Naw... it is definitely a super-rare "Script C" Confederate Cavalry rosette... or it would be, if it was for sale on Ebay. Oh, you say rosette's didn't have screw-threads... then it must be a super-rare Confederate Cavalry gunpowder-can lid. ;-)

Sorry... I'm getting downright curmudgeonly about how Ebay sellers jump to a highly profitably conclusion whenever they see an Old-English "Script" letter C on a piece of metal.
