Anyone recognize this thingamajig?

Anyone recognize this thingamajig? Its something I picked up in salvage. It is marked Wayne. I assume it's a pump. Is it for gas, other fuels or water? What's missing off it, besides the motor? Is it worth saving or send it to the scrapyard.

Looks like an early Wayne air compressor.

Could be a pump? Wayne made both? They looled alike, the compressor had a small compartment/hopper for cooling.
