I found this button many years ago and never identified it. I think I found it at a Confederate camp site but can't remember for sure. Didn't find it in any of my books (listed I mean). Have been trying to relocate it in my collection but have had no luck. The pictrue is from my website. I don't remember a backmark. It's a flat coin style button.

It may be Masonic. It reminds me of a crescent button found by 4H.

Ran across a pic of that button during another search. Not sure if it was your website :dontknow:

As BCH points out it reminded me of the button 4H found. Cool buttons :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Are there 7 stars? I first thought there were 5 but I see that there might be two more on the left side.

I just did a little research and from what I found a Masonic symbol is the crescent moon with seven stars.

Turkey, Tunisia, Algeria... but with only one star. The crescent is an Islamic symbol. Its also a symbol of South Carolina and police departments.

Yes, there are seven stars. I've been trying to relocate this button for two days now and I'm afraid all I have left is the picture.

Noticed your website on other thread. Not the site I spotted the same button. I can't find it right now and I don't remember what I was searching (don't think it was buttons). I'll search more when I get some time.

I'll keep search history in mind when I get back to searching this button. Searched some last night with button as 'key', but couldn't spot it. I know it was a different site than Mitch's.
