i am about 3 hrs away...but will totally make the trip if people want to meet up

Today, it's a fenced private beach club.
Do your research before travelling.
Don....

so maybe we go and liquor up some club members to get a lead on permission...either way a day in the area can't be a waste. also according to pa laws last I knew, any bit of water big enough to float a log on has right to public access from the water as long as you don't go above the high water mark

Membership at one time was limited to those residing within a certain geographic area of the beach. However, an amendment to the bylaws now allows open membership regardless of where they live.

i posted for others - up here = you cant own water or land underwater - except in very special cases (you have millions and grease someones palm)
usually you'd have to own every inch of land around it and then make a deal
it looks on the pic that theres also alot of people way in the back ground - dont know if its part of it
i would try to get in off season if possible

might be worth making a deal with caretaker - throw him a few bucks or a few bottles
tell them you will clean all the trash out - i used to know some guys that used to do that at spots up here

Being there is a boat launch right next to the spot I would not doubt that place is clean, out to neck deep. Not really a big beach either, maybe 150 foot long?.

A place like this, the best time to hit it would be ..Mid Jan by kayak launched from the boat ramp.. Less eyes around to.

So true Mr Casper, you never know what lies in the middle of no where.

One of the best spots I have ever hunted was like that a few years ago. Out in the middle of No where ... was lots of gold to be found.

And the crazy part is, no one knew. Any time I would get someone ask to come hunt with me I would take them there. Out of state or just someone wanting to hunt with me. One hunt I decided to recon the spot, just wonder around. That hunt I found a small spot way south, a few hundred yards in close to shore. Then I wondered deep..3rd cut..9 silver. Took Ed the next hunt..7 silvers 1 gold band.

I'm thinking good stuff deeper. The Next good lowtide... I headed right for the spot, 5 hours..5 Gold rings..

That month I got 37 gold rings in 12 hunts.

In a year I got 150 gold rings from this spot. But.....March, a big storm came..35 to 45MPH winds.. Gone, Covered... Very sad. But it will open again I know. My last trip there.. NADA..No signals at all.

I heard the caretaker has 5 different water machines!

I heard the caretaker has 5 different water machines!
Bet he cant hunt past 6ft deep like i can :tongue3:
i own 2 hookahs and a snuba system and can hunt out to 30ft deep
i just dont get out with them as much as i'd like - most of my spots its 100 yrds or more to the
water from parking lot (got to make 2 trips - pain in the butt)
- but that spot i could pull right into the boat launch and get right in

You can see it falling off of them.
that pic i would say is from 30s - if only one gold ring was lost out deep every year
well you can do the math - just look at OBN'S pics
