Anyone knows what this is???

I found it today while hiking through the jungle here on Guam. The jungle area is located where there was a major battle during WW2. I found it about 200-250 ft from the shoreline (really thick jungle). Its made of some type of metal, very heavy for its size (kind of reminds me of cast iron). I see no signs of rust. Any ideas?

looks like red brass. also looks like it has been pounded and mushroomed out on the underside.

Possibly shrapnel. Would have to be from the tip of a shell.

the back side reminds me of a clamp end. where it swivels on the threaded end??
the convex end could have fit into something made concave better than if it were flat?
could have been part of an adjusting device for some weapon?
