It's yellow and black. Two segments of a hard shell like a body armor. About the size of a nickle but not as wide

Thanks for the ID. Now I am wondering what the heck has died around me LOL

Nothing died. Just time for a bath! This is a first for me. I was going to put down a probable family for it, and someone comes up with genus/specis. Impressive. Is there someone out there that can explain the rotation of light beams inside a black hole for me?

Although I mentioned the black hole thing in jest, I am edified and educated by the informaton you sent. Now, I have to go out and rework the advanced mathematics of a couple of theories that will revoulutionize the science of physics. Won't leave much time for metal detecting for a while. Does that make you feel bad??

It's when your shining your flashlight around too much in an 8 inch hole you've just dug while searching a silver dollar ghost signal :laughing9:

I am still jesting. The only way I would stop detecting is if I could invent a supermagnet that would attract gold and silver. Or change lead into gold. The second option is more likely than the first, and the first is less likely than traveling faster than the speed of light. So, not being Steven Hawking smart, I will attempt to keep up with the detecting community. There is more than enough to learn right here.

I don't know how long it will take, but turning lead into gold is just a matter of learning how to juggle atoms. Add this, add that, subtract this, split that... OMG what we have is gold, beans and saurkraut. LOL

Or plutonium with unstable electrons. Every time I try to add electrons to lead, I just get this green, glowie stuff.
