anyone know what tpye of belt i could use for waist mounting.....

SWR

thanks for the info.i will definitely check it out.

while i am thinking of it would you happen to know of a good waterproof boot that i could wear because the water here is really really cold. i was thinking of those short scuba boots but i dont know if the warter will penetrate them or not . i just need something so i can walk in the wet sand maybe ankle deep for now just until the water warms up. i was going to go with hip waders but they are really expensive.

SWR is right on the dive belt. I prefer to hang the control box around my neck and the goodie/trash bag, etc on the waist belt. I find this easier and when taking off a heavy pouch you have less tendenency to drop it and banging the box on the ground. Once the heavy waist belt is set aside, you can remove the box from around your neck.

Scuba boots are made to keep your feet warm AFTER WATER COMES INSIDE. To keep your feet dry you need taller rubber boots, knee deep. If you plan on getting deeper in the water your going to have to spring for the waders or a wet suit.
