But Google Earth shows the address as a non-descript lower/middle-class single family dwelling.
Nothing special that I know of..

Also, the State abbreviation being "IND" instead of "IN", and no zip code might be a clue as to age. (?)

It remotely reminds me of those insert plates used on circa late-70 / early 80's manual entry credit card machines.
You would slide a handle (with paper inserted) and it would emboss the card info into the NCR-type carbonless paper.
Maybe it's a library card? (unlikely?) :dontknow:

It's pretty old. I found out the guy was born in 1873 and died in 1953. Mr. Butler's wife was a member of the Woman's Franchise League in Kokomo from 1915 to 1917. This group, among others, fought for women's right to vote only a few years before the 19th amendment was ratified.
