Found this ring today in chest deep water off the beach of an old resort in Ohio. It was about a foot deep in sand and mud. It's heavy, but can't find any markings.
Most quality jewelry shops or free-lance jewelers who make custom stuff don't mind helping you figure out what you have, & at no charge! Approach the jewelers when they're not busy with customers.
Your ring is really groovy -- I like the simple setting and I hope you'll tell us what is mounted in the oval as my imagination wants to holler that it's grains of gold but my practical side says no way, lol. HAVE FUN & LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND OUT! SOME ON THIS FORUM HAVE ENUF EXPERIENCE TO NARROW IT DOWN FOR YOU TOO. Andi

If you dont have the acid test to figure out if it really is gold, silver etc. I have a cheap test you can use. I managed pawn shops for years and this is something I picked up, if your able to get your hands on women's makeup specifically powder foundation brush a little on your arm, rub the item across that area and if it leaves a dark mark on your arm it's gold or extremely heavy electroplated which cheap jewelry is often not. cluster diamond rings like this are often set in 10k and I3 diamonds are used and these look like little 1 point diamonds, you should be able to see black spots(inclusions and carbon) easily. Hope that helps.
can't complain eventhough its copper. Could have walked right by it and got skunked. Every keeper is a treasure no matter of what it's made of. Great find.
