Anyone know what this insignia and/or use is?

I found this in a creek a couple of weeks ago. It is brass and copper (or copper clad brass) Was wondering if anyone recognizes the insignia. The back side has two tabs for connecting to something (second picture). Appreciate the help. Happy hunting everyone.
PS: My grandson helped me ID the big silver thing in the pic. :icon_thumleft:
 

Those prongs on the back usually indicated attached to leather or something similar

I agree with Tpmetal above, based on the attachments and how thin this piece is, I also feel it was likely attached to leather. :thumbsup:
I'm also thinking this is a 'fantasy' insignia or logo, probably dating to the 1940s - 50s.

It's anyone's guess as to what it was originally attached to though? :dontknow:

Thank you for helping with the zoom in. I was thinking along the line of a leather attachment also. Possibly horse tack. May never know but I appreciate the input.
