Hey D, the one on the left looks like some of the sunstones I collected in SE Oregon a couple of years ago!

the first set of photos .... on the right ..is a clear quartz stone ...be aware where there is quartz one can often find gold --at times there are gold streaks (veins) within the quartz ...often the quartz has to be crushed in a mill to extract it ...like in north Georgia ..at the tourist trap gold mine areas

the bottom later photo looks like a semi precious stone ( maybe a sunstone or similar) trapped within a big chuck of quartz to me

psst for about $20 you can buy a diamond tester from Walmart.com --then you could test your finds to see if their valuable diamonds or just common clear quartz ...no more "guessing" --because frankly clear quartz is clear and hard like a diamond would be and visually they do look a lot alike ...a lot like fools gold(iron pyrite) tricks folks into think they found gold -- clear quartz can easily make one think they found diamonds
