Anyone know Japanese art or signatures

You know this thing was buried in a bunch of crap and you couldn't see the image but I cleaned it of and the color just came right out now I would like to know more about it and possibly the artist

The characters are 岳水. there are a couple of possible meanings. one is it could be the place in Japan. two two it could be the name of the picture 岳 yue means mountain and 水 shui means water. three it's a name of the artist 岳水. there is a Japanese artist named 岳水 who died in 1982. from what I've seen on the internet the signature looks different and has a different style from your picture but the format and characters are the same. unfortunately the stamp below the characters is fadedin your picture so I can't comfim. if it is his it could be a print and not an original

The Japanese pronunciation would be "gakusui" for 岳水
