Anyone know anything about this lock

found this lock with no writing anywhere. I know it's not real old but would like to know about it if possible. thanks

Im away from home in Ohio from Montana I have no way to weight it. it is close to 3 inches around and fairly heavy.

I agree. I found an Excelsior 6-lever that was round and looks very very similar, but it had squared edges on the case. Yours look more rounded. The way it was forged also assured that the writing on the case wouldn't erode even after 1000 years in the ground. Maybe yours is ground down but Id bet its a different lock.

Just a FYI: my lock was dated to the latter part of the 1800's
