Anyone in St. Augustine or Amelia Island area??????

I have the next 4 days off and Im dying to go somewhere promising. Went to a spot in Fernandina last weekend and dug up an 1882 V nickle. I'm up for hunting or MD'ing any fields, lots, old homesteds, plantations, beaches, hike through the woods, etc. I'm determined to find a cob.....just 1. Anyone up for a hike or a hunt??

Hey JvilleHunter,

Sorry I missed your post last week, I was on the road to Dahlonega with the kids on the 23rd. I'm constantly looking for places to MD, just went to check out an old Ghost Town today, but found it to be mainly on fenced private property.

Anyway, I know I will find a cool spot soon then we could hook up. Actually, Moe (fl) is up your way, he might like to hook up.

Hi JVilleHunter,

First time I was up there. Only found a few specks, but didn't expect much more with it being my first time. I did bring back about 200 lbs. of dirt though from a pit dug near the river. I plan to get practiced up on my gold panning in the back yard with a cool iced tea by my side!

I never thought a river side could look so.....inviting! I could pitch a tent there and stay all year....very nice pic and I'll ask you never to post such a pic on here ever again unless you wanna see a grown man cry...
