Hi, I'm in the "other" valley south of you. I was in Simi yesterday and every time I go there via the 118, I can't help thinking about Tiburcio Vasquez and all the loot he buried in his heyday. If we can coordinate an occasional day on the weekend to MD, I'm in, though I'm still a novice with my MXT. Let me know. I may also visit the Gold Coast Treasure Club sometime in the future. (Thanks for the invite Jerry)

tapoutking, have you ever explored the old stage coach roads or their vicinities? I'd like to sometime, but I've also heard that some of those surroundings are tained with aerospace waste.

YA, I've walked the stagecoach route from the Simi side near the train tunnel to where the old casino is. I haven;t explored the top and valley side yet. Someone here told me that there is an old militry lookout point somewhere on the valley side that may be worth a look. I think the devils slide area is a promising spot though.

It sounds as if there might a few relics and/or old coins to be found. Is the area protected from MDing since it has historic value? Also, how does one find the start of the stage coach road? Thanks for any info.

So did anyone from Simi end up hooking up? I'm new to prospecting, but I'd be happy to tag along.

I live in simi valley and need some prospecting friends, I usually just go sluice for gold but am interested in finding any treasures. If anyone would be interested let me know

I was raised there. Left after my junior year of HS in 1965. It's changed a bunch since those days....LOL

I grew up in Simi during 70s 80s and 90s and did alot of sluicing in the Sierra Nevadas. After leaving the state I got into MD so now when venturing behind enemy lines it's with a MD. I know of some decent areas near by that I've been wanting to try but it will have to wait till spring.

I lived in Simi for several years but left in 1987 after graduating from Royal High. Would like to meet up with others for any type of treasure hunting.

I graduated from Royal in 84 and moved to Lancaster as well.
