I have not used this coil, but from experience the DD coils operate better in mineralized ground better than the concentric. If your area has a extra salt content the least bit of black sand will affect the depth and or stability. But I say, go for it. You never know how it is really going to work in your area till you try. :hello:

Great coil,

Had 2 of them. Well worth the money. I've pulled hundreds of old coins out of the ground with that coil. Covers a ton of ground. Goes very deep also. I highly recommend it. Pick one up used on e-bay for about 150.00. Does very well in bad soils also. Works well on the beaches also.

Thanks guys. Ill be using it at the Great Salt Lake here in UT and that is some salty crap!!
 

Has anyone used the big SEF coil on the DFX? The 18 X 15 i think it is.
