I am considering an upgrade from my old 1991 White's Spectrum to a Tejon. I live in the Wilson, NC area and mostly hunt coins and relics, but occasionally hunt at the beach. Does anyone have experience using the Tejon in the eastern part of NC? How do you think it would perform compared to my old White's Spectrum? I have read alot of good things about the Tejon, and I think it is my present 1st pick, but would like to hear some people's experience with it. How about recommended coils? My understanding is that the small coil is good for trashy areas and the large coils are when you are wanting depth. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Bryan

Thanks for the info and the links, I will check them out

I live near Princeton and I use a Tejon. Although I have other detectors, the Tejon is my favorite and is usually the machine that I grab first. I have not had any problems balancing it and it hits deep. If you are a relic hunter then you should try one. If you want to get together sometime I'll let you try mine out. PM me.
Mike ;)
