dug it from my local church..found a couple online but none match this one..the back has a big horse shoe and says good luck in the middle

i blew it up and inverted the colors, and the tiny writing under his feet reads "nat'l coin bank co. Detroit"

still can find no info on the net tho

I have come across and seen 3 different types of Joe Louis coins over the years... Never seen that one! Looks like ya found a goodie!

been a while since i first posted this..still can find no matches for this token. brought it to a few dealers, emailed some pics to some others. nobody knows anthing about it.

altho its disappionting not to have a history for it, its also kinda exciting as it seems it may be rare.

Obviously a "good luck token".

Probably a "Promo type coin" given out by the issuing bank at that time for some reason.
