only found half of it. and it's lead and about the size of a fifty cent piece..says" use monkey TRI-S reg.new york." that's all i can read..thanks, David

This next reference suggests it may be a gas cap to a "Model T" though I doubt it since the patent dates (in the 30s) were filed long after the 'Model T' was around.
