This is just an off the cuff comment so don't take it to the bank.....my first impression is it might be a game piece made of lead which were quite common back in the day.

It appears to thick for a coin of that size.

Ive done some digging around online and it is definatly lead lol, do you have any idea as to how old it could be?
 

Pretty much next to impossibly to date something like this....that said the practice of repurposing lead as game piece goes back to at least the civil war era if not earlier. I'd say if it is a game piece probably circa 1900 or earlier.

yup, game piece from musket ball. find plenty in farm fields, all shapes & sizes. no video games back then to play while on sentry duty :laughing7::icon_thumright:
