Hi everyone. I found this in a small park/tot lot today. It was about 2 1/2 inches deep. It is a rectangular metal tag that reads "property of Marshall Field & Co. Chicago ILL return to above firm(?) as soon as possible. Does anyone know how old this might be? And, also, what it might've been used for? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. Pics below.

Marshall Field was a huge department store in Chicago that was later bought out by Macys. I would guess those are key fobs from the "teens". Tony

Can you tell us exactly what is under "RETURN TO THE ABOVE FIRM"? It appears to be numbers that may solve this item. Could it be charge card, serial or patent numbers? :dontknow: It does look like it would take a fob type strap.

Could it be off a watchclock strap or case?

Big Cypress- yes, it says (under return to the above firm) "as soon as possible". There aren't any numbers on this item that I can see.

Ok I see now. I thought it had numbers. No numbers means its NOT a charge card.
