I'll be there. It will be my first "organized" hunt. It's $150 to hunt and I was kind of wondering if it will be worth it. Any of you experienced hunters out there in TreasureNet land go to the one they had last year? I'd be interested in hearing your opinions of that one.

The first one to reply to this post that is going to the hunt gets a beer on me in Dover!! Just kidding. Well,,,,,,maybe not.
:-) It may be worth a few beers to get some advice from some of you :-)

Happy hunting!

I'll be there. I've been to all of them so far. It's a GREAT time. They have two hunts: one about 1000 until about 1215, and the second from about 130 until about 330. They are on separate 10 acre sites, so the second hunt is on 'fresh' ground. The targets are all 'buried' but they are all real CW relics, except for some of the coins, which might be post war.

Be sure to get out to the relic shop the night before for the meal, too. John and Nikki put on a hot dog/chili dinner the night before the hunt at their shop, from about 500-900PM. That has turned in to a big fest of relic hunters all standing around visiting, eating, and tellin' lies! There are dealers set up where you can buy detectors, accessories, and misc. stuff. American Digger magazine sets up, too so you can visit either Butch or Charlie.

Looking forward to seeing you there. I'll be wearing camo pants, and probably a black long sleeved shirt.

Take care

Roger

Roger,
Thanks for the reply and advice. I am REALLY looking forward to it. I'll look for you. I will be the guy in khaki pants, red & black knee pads, and blue "Cat Racing" cap (probably) that looks like he doesn't know what he's doing! :-)

I'm going to try to make it to the pre-hunt dinner. I'll probably leave Memphis in enough time to go by Ft. Donelson, check in to my hotel and make the dinner by 5.

Thanks again!

Tommy

Would enjoy hearing about your time at the relic hunt. How did it go?

Haven't been yet. It is next weekend (Nov. 7). However, I will be sure to post about it once I get back.
