So I got home a little while ago with my normal first 4 boxes of the week today, opened them up and this is what I saw. They are wrapped in 25.00 wraps, never seen this before, they look like they are searched, but they are not. The first 2 boxes have allready spit out some silver ( alot actually), so just figured I'd post this to see if anyone else has recieved their halves like this before. HH, Maverick.

Never seen those. Dollar coin wrappers have them though. How much silver did you get?

Never seen that - I always see the $10 yellow and white String rolls

Did the rolls actually contain $25 in coins or were they still $10 in coins? I also notice they are wrapped with the $25 mark on the inside, maybe they just ran out of the correct wrapper paper to use.

Take them to banks and see if they will give you $25 for them... or try stores and see if they will take them as $25...

If a counting/wrapping machine runs out of coin specific paper, different rolls of paper can be used if the sizes are similar. As you can see, the paper rolls are inserted backwards so there is no confusion. I've done this before in my previous career.

Neat. But more importantly, there was silver in there! Congrats.

Mav, Never had those but if they are kicking out silver I hope I get the same looking ones on Thursday!:icon_thumright:

Well, here's the results-

40%'s = 44
90%'s = 14

1 box was a skunk, 1 box produced 2 40's and the other 2 gave up the rest.

I figured they just ran outta wrappers and used these, just weird to open a box and see that. The rolls all were 20 coin a roll.
I'm happy with the finds for sure! Just figured I'd show everyone the wierd rolls. Good luck to everyone hunting today! Maverick.

Mav, That is a great start to the week. Love the silver porn! Thanks for the pics. I have never had $20 rolls though...mine are all $10 rolls.

$20 rolls!? I wish my $500 boxes had 50 $20 rolls! :laughing7: Sorry, thought the typo was funny. :) great scores!

I believe they used to supply $20 rolls foelr halves which were known as "double rolls" by the old timers. I've seen them in some old posts I've read. Not sure I'd they were strictly CWR's or machine rolled.

Whoopsy, meant 20 coins a roll, lol.

that's awesome, weird that the interesting wrappers coincided with lots of silver. probably just a coincidence. Still cool though

Ya, when I opened the boxes I thought well, here's 4 skunks, until the 4th roll of the first box I opened, which happened to be the best one. HH, Maverick.

So were they $1000 boxes?

No, 500 dollar boxes, my bad on the typo, I meant 20 coins in a roll, not $20 rolls. HH, Maverick.
