Detector(s) used
Garrett GTP 1350- Ace250- 10X WORKHORSE - GARRETT PRO POINTER - Mighty AP digger
the whistle is brass and was chrome plated but pretty much wore off now
it has what looks like a cowbow hat on the back with a hole in for a chain
and written on it THE ACME THUNDERER--made in england. and has a boy scout logo on side
the other item I am not sure what it is, its about 2 inches lo ng and seems
to be made of bronz or brass and was found in arizona

My first thoughts was a old pitch repairer for golf but the more i look at it i am not sure that that would be correct. However i think the spade part at the bottom looks as tho it might have been inserted in the ground so i will go with marker of some kind. Maybe an old game of sorts.

I had one from the worlds fair(it had a cheap gold plate). Grandpa told me they used it in surgery back then.

Nice finds. Interesting learning a little bit of history with each item listed on this forum.

After reading up on the Tumi ceremonial knife, it seems that they were normally 12-14+ inches long.

I think what you have is a souvenir or trinket fashioned on the tumi design, maybe made for a necklace (looks like a spot for a link attached to the crown), similar to this one I've found on the web, also close to 2 inches tall. If I find an all metal one, I'll post it.

Guess what kind of a whistle I had when I was a rookie cop in 1966? An ACME Thunderer! They have been the standard police whistle back as long as anyone I know can remember. They may still have them at the police supply stores? Monty

As part of a Boy Scout's survival training he is taught to carry a whistle for signaling if he gets lost. This particular boy scout apparently failed the course. Look for bones! :D :D Monty
