Welcome to the TNET forums! Is it heavy for it's size? I ask because it appears to be a Hematite stone that has spent some time tumbling in a creek, stream or river!

7 ounces , lightly magnetic with a strong magnet dries fast . Gem tester shows it to be around ruby or something like 8.5 - 9.5 on some of the ones I have . Platinum grey colors . Sometimes it appears to have a light blue green glow in direct light

hematite has a red streak if you scratch it on a streak plate its an easy test

Everything contains hematite. It's streak is gold red blue green grey orange and brown. If something is pushed to the mantle would it be covered in hematite when it cools down?

Hello this one tests as a quartz resin .un like the others that tests 9.5 or so.
