I was brainstorming how to more effectively CRH, and I thought about the prospect of buying directly from Brinks. I am not referring to having the truck stop by your house (that would obviously draw some funny looks from your neighbors), but what about finding the closest coin processing center and buying right from them. They may even allow you to return them there as a dump bank. I could see them charging a monthly fee or something for the service.

The coins would not even have to be rolled, but could be bought in 1000 bags. I have not tried this, but I am sure someone here has attempted this or inquired.

Any thoughts?

Brinks will sell directly to you if you have a business and you have a commercial account so you can pay them. They will not deliver to your house but will deliver to your business.

Cat J,

Do you have any idea on what the fees are for such a service? I have my own business but I do not receive payment in coins, so I have never needed a coin rolling service. This would be great to try. I could order several boxes per week then have them pick up the rejects the next week when they bring my new order in. I would never have to go buy or dump at a bank again.

I would just want to know that they were not re-rolling my rejects and bringing them back to me each week. I don't know how all of that works.

Just look on the internet for Brinks or Loomis whoever is in your area. Call them and have them set it up. They do not re roll they take the coins to the reserve and they are all dumped into the machine with other coins.

Good Luck

Cat.

I am thinking about trying this. Wow, if I put as much time into expanding my business as I do trying to find new ways to score great coins, I could be a millionaire in no time. Ha Ha

The fees are probably pretty hefty although I have never personally checked. I think you would have to pull alto of silver to make it profitable. Doing the homework cost nothing....just time. I would be curious to know what the fees are. Keep us posted and good luck Jim. You just never know.
