Anyone ever seen a button like this?

I was hunting a Civil War hut site this morning and found this button. I'm wondering if the face is just a generic carving or supposed to be anyone in particular?

The back is brass exactly like a back from a period 2-piece military button and the cameo itself seems to be set on a piece of wood or cork type material.

I think it was originally a glass dome button .. I have seen one before very similar.

that is pretty darn close! aside from the floating shank, and whatever material mine is on? its a pretty close match.. closer than anything ive come up with for sure
