it looks like it might have been some kind of pin. The one thing is a riding crop the handle is on the left pointing down and the whip part wraps around the horse shoe on the lower right. The only thing I can think that the other thing ( piece with the ring) might be is the end of a snaffle bit.

great observation on the snaffle bit Vayank! I was sitting here wondering how the heck a propeller fits in with a crop and shoe :D

I thought it was a propeller at first too. I had to look at it for a while before it sunk in what it might be

shaun7 easy one i hope ;D

vayank54 i agree most likely a pin you say riding crop lower left
but, the upper right is identical i'm not to familiar with riding crops
snaffle bit i've dug a half of one would'nt there be 1 ring on each side ?
it does resemble a chain trace but, the rope isn't running through it :dontknow:

The handle of the riding crop (whip) is on the upper left and points downward with the whip end (what you see as a rope)wrapping around the horse shoe. The snaffle bit is at the top on the right and bottom on the left with the ring in the middle. It would just be one end of a snaffle bit though. I wish I knew the names of the bit parts so I could maybe explain better. I hope this helps though.

It sure does help me vayank54
Now i notice how its thicker on the top left It does look like a whip to me now lol
And if you see a snaffle bit then it makes sense to me now it all fits the horse theme
I've dug a lot of pins at this site i'm pretty convinced this was attached to some type of
pin. You've been a great help with this item i found "only" 11 yrs ago Thanks Much !!
There's no need for pics of a snaffle bit. I've seen them on here and i've dug a 1/2 of one.

i'll give it a few then i'll check mark it thanks !!

That's a very common-type of pin for dressage riders (hence the shoe, the bit and the crop).

Cool find!!

Forgot to say - they come with all sorts of things added - some have a horseshoe, a horseshoe nail and a shoe - or many different combinations.

I have a couple of different ones. Make sure the horsehoe is always with the open end at the top - don't want the luck to fall out.

That iron ring part on the bit might be a port although proportionally, it is to big. When you pull bag on the reins, it rotates up and puts pressure on the roof of the horses mouth but are usually seen on leverage or shank bits.
