Yeah, No. What it is, is that buddy of mines property gets trespased on a lot because of game potchers. So he suggested a quick cheep way instead of buying signs spray paint purple rings on trees every 50' around boarder. I'm thinking ok I dont know, county will brobly come by and cut down those trees.

i saw those marks/rings a few yrs ago in east TX, i thought
something was wrong with the tree, friend told me prop markers
no tresspass

here is some info:

Thanks. I wonder though what others states have this or is it only Texas? I'm in Ill. I tried to look it up quick but could not find anything. That's kinda what I was telling him, Signs people see and know but a purple painted ring? If people don't know what a purple ring means how would you actually be stoping anyone from trespassing. So that's why I am here to share if anyone sees purple rings around trees mean no tresspass.

Purple paint is used in quite a few states to mark private property. Its everywhere here in Arkansas.

it's ok if it's common knowledge to everyone .

I would have never known,
and will forget again in a few minutes :dontknow:

But since I don't live there.

8-)

Not just trees. You still see it on fence posts also. Pretty sure it goes way back.

Well then, I learned something new today, I hope I don't drink my new found knowledge into oblivion.

Thanks for the education.

I apologize, I read info wrong. I read in all 50 states, this is a federal thing. Thus my joke you move out of country.
