Anyone else get followed?

thats cool.

He wont live too long.... :/ cool though...

here also, I frequent a park and doe's do this almost always in late evening, have only had a couple of bucks do this, always during rut, protecting their doe's

I had a young buck hang with me while I was detecting for about 20 minutes a few years back. We were within 15 feet of each other a few times. It was just as casual as could be. Another time I had a very young doe come busting out of a swamp and run right up to me. I could have touched it. I stuck with me for a minute or so before taking off. It looked really panicked. I am pretty sure a coyote likely had chased it into the swamp.

Beautiful buck, and yes, I've had this happen twice to me while detecting. First time it was a doe with a nursing fawn who followed me around as I detected for about 15 minutes, close, with the fawn alternately playing and then running to his mother to nurse. I swear she thought I was some sort of grazing mammal, searching through the leaf litter for "food". She was grazing too... Second time I was way the heck out in the middle of a huge empty field and I look up and there's a young buck standing 25 yards off, just watching me curiously, then walking closer, watching more until finally wandering slowly away. The deer don't feel threatened as long as I'm detecting, lol.

Great experience! Love it.

I don't hunt, used to. I was deer hunting in '72 and sat down beneath a very large tree next to a stream, and fell asleep with the rifle in my lap. I was summoned awake, I guess the psychic kind of energy. Opened my eyes and I was sitting in the midst of a fair sized herd. I didn't move, just watched them. Then the buck saw me, snorted, and they walked away.

I've never gone hunting again. Even though I have bear, turkey, deer, bobcat and cougar here and who knows what else in the yard. We have peace on my 50 acres.

Meanwhile my punk neighbor was caught with 9 dead turkeys rotting in his back yard out of season. It's likely he got them on my land - WITHOUT permission. He killed them just to kill something.

Happened to me on Wednesday. It was real cold out with frost on the ground so I was bundled up in brown Carhartt overalls and a coat with a brown toboggan. I was moving slow through the woods while detecting and came upon a doe, a young deer, and a buck. They were alerted by me but kept on grazing. I ended up detecting around half a mile stretch through the woods and the deer stayed within 100 or so feet the entire time.

Be Alert!!
Some of your best finds are just under a BUCK!

Sorry guys I just couldn't resist..

That's funny because whenever I go relic hunting with a group and we've parked on the field, I joke that my best find is sitting underneath the our vehicle.

only happened to me once.

a buck & several Doe.
I just kept detecting Slowly so as not to spook them & just Coexisted.

I take that Back "Twice"

a Friend had some tame doe in a Pen & the One deer apparently ate a Charm off her Necklace. The bad thing there The Doe were like dogs & too Curious.
She had to be in the Pen too, To keep them away. Yes I did find the Charm.

You must stink when you detect so they don't alert to you. Nice to know you guys don't shower.....:occasion14: I do like the video.

Yes i have had them just watch me more than once and they watched and grazed. And just kept eating that grass and would look up at me now and then...
