Could you give us a bit more about where (state, city?) you found it?

Park, school field, farm field..old house site?

The two holes appear to be filled with grout?

looks like a somewhat "modern" construction brick to me.

Sorry for the oversight. It was dug in MA from an old farm field that dates back to at least 1863 based on my deed research. It was located next to a break in a rock wall. Old Aerials shows no structures within 500 yards starting from 2016 through 1938. This is why I’m very curious.
