pretty confident its the nursery rhyme... although worded slightly different, but does anyone know what this actually was? the back is just the reverse of the front the only thing of note is the top has a lip that is rolled over.

I'm guessing the end of a shoehorn?

Of course something beside it for scaling purposes would help though.

oops sorry I forgot to do that its about 2 inches long and an inch tall its closer to a small shot glass than a thimble, I think its made of tin.
