Looks like a Philippine coin to me but I dont think it is

Can you make out the full text on it?
The obverse looks like
"Emblem Of the Fr??? US 1882."

The reverse has "talisman"

The token says "Emblem of the Free US 1882" on the front and "Oriental Perfumer A Talisman" on the back.

creskol, I found this:
One piece of exonumia was fascinating as his wife presented a plastic bag of at least 30 examples and wondered what these wooden pieces might be. Let's start with a description...about the width of a US half dollar and roughly 0.25" thick with raised obverse and reverse rims. Material is soft wood with a weight of ~4.0 grams. The obverse features "ORIENTAL PERFUMER - A TALISMAN" legend surrounding horseshoe and wreath. The reverse is patriotic with center eagle and shield, a legend "EMBLEM OF THE FREE coupled with US 1882. Coloring is a consistent rusty brown as seen on all pieces. Following are images taken from the lone eBay listing I could find....otherwise there is little on the web about this token. Any help would be appreciated as I have a bag of 30 pieces to disposition.

WoW. .. How cool is that!! I was thinking it was more of a gutta percha material, or a composite of some kind, as this seems kinda hard and somewhat brittle. .. But darned if that one doesn't look dang near identical...blemishes and all! The back is easier to read on the one you posted and the horseshoe is more pronounced. Aside from that, they are remarkably identical!

I called him, and he says he doesn't even remember these things.. unfortunately. He said he runs a high volume business, and that was 5 years ago.
Nice fella to talk to, but I didn't learn anything more.

Futzing around the closest I came up with to a phrase is OEM PERSE VERO which translates to "low price, however, my persecutors"(?) in Latin. Or, PERSVERO - "to adhere to".

But it looks more like just OE - which alone is nothing but in a word is "o" pronounced like ""ay"

If you scroll down a bit, you find the lots of info about the colorful character, Tom Ri Jon, whose name is in the fine print on these: https://esnpc.blogspot.com/2016/02/from-breeches-to-trousers-to-pantaloons.html
Partial text:
Mrs. Tom-Ri-Jon, once a familiar figure on Park Row, New York, was arrested at Tottenville, Staten Island, yesterday, for masquerading in male attire. At the police station she explained that she dressed as a man to avoid insults while pursuing her occupation of selling perfumery. She was discharged.

I see the words "De Perse Vere" which google translate detects as Galician and translates into "From True Persians" or something like that, which might be consistent with people selling perfumes.

Bramblefind, I wrote the blog post that refers to Mr. and Mrs. Tom-Ri-Jon that was referenced in another response. Would you consent to my using the image you posted on that post, or in a follow-up post about the Tom-Ri-Jons themselves. I though the couple was really interesting, and your image of their coin brings them that much more to life.
