Anybody Know a Good BSA Site?

Hello All. I found this brass item a couple of days ago at an empty small town lot. See a few of 'em of various styles on the net but not much regarding vintage. I did find some 19-teens stuff nearby but I am thinking it is 1940's at best.

Please let me know if you know a good online source for researching BSA stuff. Thanks for the view any assistance. Good Luck out there. C9

Several images were found in a search of Google. There appear to be two types with a subtle difference. The newer style does not have the "BE PREPARED" in a banner. The older style, like yours, has the banner and a symbol below it that looks like a barrel swivel.

A result fron TN in 2011 failed to elicit a date for the token.

One page claimed the newer style was from the 70's while another claimed their older type was from 1953. There was nothing to verify either claim that I could find.

Hello BullBat. Thanks very much for the reply and info. Sounds like we covered some of the same internet ground.

When I found it I thought "this one will be easy to research" but getting a precise date range has not been in the cards...yet.
